NDIS Invoice Automation

Built a tool to automatically create invoices for my friend’s NDIS service business.

Previously, my friend would manually create invoices for each client he had. He would read calendar events, calculate the hours he (or his employees) worked, and then enter the data into a spreadsheet to create invoices.

It was moderately complex with different rates on different days for different clients, as well as sometimes billing for fuel costs.

This would take him 3 hours a week to do. Also it was boring, very error-prone to do manually and not very high-value work.

I built a program that created invoices for him.

The program looked at work-related events from Google Calendar, filled in his invoice template, and then placed the finished document into the correct folder in his Google Drive.
